TV actor Nathaniel Taylor, best known for his role as Rollo on the hit ’70s sitcom “Sanford and Son,” has died. He was 80.

Taylor died Wednesday after suffering a heart attack over the weekend, according to his friend, entertainer/promoter Alonzo Williams.

“Today Black Hollywood lost a ’70s legend Nathaniel Taylor better known as Rollo,” Williams said in a statement. “[His] character on ‘Sanford’ and was the lovable, funny but questionable friend of Lamont, the co-star of the show.”

Taylor would have celebrated his 81st birthday on March 31.

A funeral service is pending.
