In gearing up to mark 100 years, the National Cherry Blossom Festival (NCBF) unveiled the 2027 official artwork by D.C. native Chris Pyrate, highlighting a century of cultural traditions, community participation, artistic expression, and international friendship.

The Oct. 29 event set the stage for the upcoming springtime celebration and brought renewed attention to the historic relationship between the United States and Japan.

Each year, festival artwork helps communicate the spirit of the celebration through creative interpretations of spring, cherry blossoms, cultural connections, and the character of the nation’s capital.
