Nearly 60% of U.S. adults have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine as of Tuesday, with roughly 124 million Americans now fully immunized, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Approximately 158 million people have received at least one dose of vaccine, CDC data shows.
President Biden has set a goal of getting at least one dose to 70% of adults by July 4. The administration also aims to have 160 million adults fully vaccinated by that date.
As of Tuesday, the U.S. had administered roughly 274 million of its 345 million available doses, the CDC reported.
The average daily pace of doses administered has been declining for about a week, however, with 1.5 million more doses reported administered since Sunday, producing a seven-day average of about 1.8 million doses per day, CNN reported.
