NoVa’s New COVID-19 Cases Hit Lows Not Seen Since Early April

Northern Virginia reported Tuesday fewer than 100 new cases of the coronavirus, a low not seen in the area since the early stages of the pandemic in early April.

Of 445 new cases throughout the state, just 93 were from Northern Virginia, which consists of suburbs and exurbs of the District of Columbia, InsideNoVa.com reported.

The state’s health department reported 18 new coronavirus-related deaths Tuesday, 15 of those in Northern Virginia.

There have been 1,570 deaths in the state since March, with Northern Virginia accounting for 836, more than half.
