More than 31% of all eligible people in the U.S. has not received a coronavirus vaccine, even as vaccination rates hit levels not seen in nearly two months.
Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that 50.2% of the U.S. population, regardless of age, has been fully vaccinated.
However, 31.2% of the eligible population 12 and older have not been vaccinated.
Over the past seven days ending Monday, 486,332 people are initiating vaccination each day, the highest daily rate since June 18, CNN reported.
As of Tuesday, roughly 167 million U.S. residents are fully vaccinated, according to the CDC.
