(The Washington Post) – It was nothing personal, but it might have felt like it to Darrelle Revis’s mother.
Diana Askew headed for New England over the weekend, ready to attend the swell soiree at which New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft was going to distribute the fabulous new Super Bowl rings to his players.
But Askew couldn’t get into the part at Kraft’s home — and not because he’s now a New York Jets player. The invitation allowed entry to a player and a “plus-one.” Revis was unavailable because of a prior commitment and a plus-one without a player was plain out of luck, ESPN reported.
As for the ring, Askew swung by the Patriots’ offices and picked it up.
