Grammy-winning singer Patti LaBelle, who has famously dabbled in hawking pies and cobblers, will now add a a line of frozen Chinese foods to her resume.
LaBelle, 74, who has partnered with restaurateur Stratis Morfogen, will make her Chinese cuisine available in grocery stores nationwide.
“Love when my friend @mspattilabelle @suittnyc @donpoohmusic now our new partners in BCH GROCERS LLC comes’ to @brooklynchophouse for a surprise celebratory dinner on our new Co!” Morfogen wrote on Instagram in a caption accompanying a photo of the two at his New York restaurant Brooklyn Chop House. “Did someone in the frozen gourmet food section say, ‘French Onion Soup, Pastrami, Bacon Cheeseburger & Lamb Gyro Dumplings?”
An official release date for the new line hasn’t yet been announced.
