The legendary vocalist Peabo Bryson returns to the stage at Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club, Friday, Sept. 21 — back, better than ever and armed with music from his new CD, “Stand For Love,” produced by the dynamic duo of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis with songs that are already climbing the charts, quickly becoming favorites among Peabo’s devoted fans as well as to a cadre of new followers too.

Peabo promises to perform his classic love songs including “Feel the Fire,” “I’m So Into You,” “Can You Stop the Rain” along with his smash hits featured in two famous Disney animated films that earned him two Grammys, “Beauty and the Beast” and “A Whole New World.”

After the show, he’ll sit down with Washington Informer Editor D. Kevin McNeir to talk about his triumphant return to the radio waves, the stage and the world of popular music. And while he says he can’t say enough about the support and guidance he’s received from his longtime friends who produced his latest project, he’s even more grateful to be married to the love of his life and for the new addition to the family, an 8-month-old son.

Since embarking upon his career, Peabo Bryson has always given us his very best, delivering music of the highest quality while illustrating an unmistakable passion for both his craft and for everyday people rarely seen in the industry and all but impossible to match. And thankfully, that hasn’t changed.
