It’s official: Popeyes’ new chicken sandwich is sold out.

The Louisiana-based business said Wednesday its restaurants nationwide were completely out of the sandwich, which became all the rage on social media in recent weeks.

“Y’all, we love that you love The Sandwich. Unfortunately, we’re sold out (for now),” the company tweeted.

The company suggested customers download its app to keep track of the return of the sandwich, which has caused long lines at its franchises and an uproar among fast-food competitors since its Aug. 12 debut.
