The 2021-22 Charter Schools and Specialty Programs Lottery will be available through Friday, Jan. 29, 2021. Through the PGCPS lottery process, parents and students have an opportunity to secure an available seat in one of the Specialty Programs established in selected schools throughout the county. Space limitations require that admission is governed by a random placement lottery.Applications are available to all students who are residents of Prince George’s County.

Please note this list only includes traditional public schools; public charter schools are responsible for their own cleaning and sanitizing. The database does not include incidences that did not require cleaning or sanitizing (i.e. employees who work remotely or individuals who have not worked on-site recently).

Reid Temple Christian Academy
Since 2005, Reid Temple Christian Academy has been preparing young men and women to succeed in higher education and to make their place in society. The state-funded program expands access to free high-quality public pre-kindergarten for 3- and 4-year-olds with priority given to (a) students from families within the household incomes provided by the State of Maryland Department of Education and; (b) students with special education needs regardless of income.
The curricula use national standards in reading, language arts, mathematics and science. Reid Temple Christian Academy use the Creative Curriculum and Connect4 learning. The school hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Students must be 3 years old by Sept. 1 for pre-kindergarten 3 and 4 years old by Sept. 1 for pre-kindergarten 4. This program is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Parents will need to provide: two most recent pay stubs; first page and the signature page of your 2019 tax document; copy of your 2019 W-2; copy of your child’s birth certificate.
December SAT, ACT Center Closings
Due to the updated restrictions put in place for safety precautions and the continued need for social distancing, PGCPS has canceled the SAT and ACT administrations for the month of December. Students should check their College Board and ACT accounts for updates on what to do if their test center has been closed.
3D Scholars
The Prince George’s 3D Scholars Program is a specialized program through which students earn credits towards an associate’s degree while in high school, then immediately transition to Prince George’s Community College to complete their associates degree and are then awarded a scholarship to University of Maryland Global Campus to earn their bachelor’s degree.
Available courses of study: Business Administration, Criminal Justice and Computer Networks and Cybersecurity.
The title “3D” stands for the three degrees earned in the program; high school diploma, associate’s degree and bachelor’s degree, University of Maryland Global Campus. Only 50 seats are available for incoming ninth graders.
