Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson announced on his Instagram page that he will hold his annual โFunday with LJโ party this weekend in his hometown of Pompano Beach, Florida, in spite of the stateโs recent spike in coronavirus cases and the cityโs ban on social gatherings of more than 10 people.
Jackson, 23, will hold the event Saturday, The Associated Press reported. Adults are required to wear face masks, while minors are only permitted if a waiver is signed.
In Broward County, where Pompano Beach sits, the Florida Health Department has reported 21,000 coronavirus-related cases, including about 400 deaths.
