What a difference a year makes.

Riley Cooper, who last year became the face of bigotry in football, has agreed to a new five-year contract with the Eagles. The new deal for the wide receiver, who was eligible to become a free agent next month, is reportedly worth $25 million.

Cooper, who was caught on tape shouting โ€œI will fight every nโ€”โ€“ here,โ€ at a Kenny Chesney concert last summer in the City of Brotherly Love, rebounded from the scandal to have the best season of his four-year NFL career. His breakout season included 47 receptions, 835 receiving yards and eight touchdowns (all career bests) for the NFC East champion Eagles.

โ€œLove being in Philly,โ€ Cooper, 26, tweeted Thursday morning. โ€œProud to be an Eagle.โ€

Cooper called his actions โ€œinexcusableโ€ last August after the video went viral and the Eagles shipped the University of Florida product off to counseling.
