The school board in Akron, Ohio, has given approval  for NBA star LeBron James to build a public school in partnership with his foundation.

According to reports, James’ “I Promise” school, which will open next fall in his hometown to third- and fourth-graders, will be dedicated to helping and educating students at risk of failing.

In addition to having longer days, the school will offer classes in the summer to encourage better information retention.
