In honor of Black History Month, tennis legend Serena Williams is furthering her efforts to support Black entrepreneurs through the Pennsylvania-based Opportunity Fund.
The organization will use a portion of proceeds from Williams’ jewelry company as a donation to a nonprofit dedicated to providing relief for Black-owned small businesses, which have shut down at more than twice the rate of their white counterparts during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, according to a CNBC report.
Opportunity Fund’s Small Business Relief Fund aims to provide critical relief to small businesses affected by the pandemic, particularly those run by women, people of color and immigrants.
