Six Flags America in Bowie., Md., will start its season of activity Wednesday and will be open to the public Friday.

Park officials said members and season pass holders will have exclusive preview days on Wednesday and Thursday, in a statement, WTTG-TV (Channel 5) reported.

The coronavirus pandemic has park personnel instituting “new safety measures and hygiene protocols, including new technology systems to protect our guests and employees” the officials said.

Tuests will need to make reservations before coming to the park and health screening and social distancing protocols will be enforced. On its website, officials say that even with safety practices, guests must understand exposure to the coronavirus remains possible.
