"Deep Space" by Anne Marchand

The Zenith Gallery in Northwest D.C. will host the “Space Between” exhibit from May 10-June 15.

“Space Between” delves into the complexities of the human condition, exploring the unseen realms that shape the existence of humans. The exhibition utilizes the power of art to illuminate the spaces between myth and reality, consciousness and subconscious, and intuition and logic.

The artworks presented act as portals, inviting viewers to navigate the intangible spaces that define experiences. By confronting these spaces, we gain a deeper understanding of the human species and the world.

Themes of isolation, connection, and the search for meaning will resonate through the exhibition, prompting introspection and dialogue.

The “Space Between” artist is New Orleans native Anne Marchand. A graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in arts and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia, Marchand has had her work displayed in the District, Silver Spring, Maryland, McLean, Virginia, as well as other areas of the country.

Marchand is a recipient of an Artist Fellowship 2024 from the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities.

The opening reception is May 10 from 4-6 p.m. and May 11 from 2-6 p.m. Gallery hours are from Wednesday-Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. or by appointment.
