Office Depot and Staples are now offering free laminations of completed coronavirus vaccination cards.
The office supply retailers are offering the no-cost laminations at a time when the cards may be needed in order to travel or to go to events such as a concert, CNN reported. Paper cards are more susceptible to wear and tear and could become damaged.
A Staples spokesperson told CNN that the service is available to all of its U.S. locations and currently doesn’t have an end date.
The Office Depot service is available at Office Depot and OfficeMax locations through July 25. Customers must bring a copy of a coupon along with their vaccination card, CNN reported.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises people to take a picture of their vaccination card as a backup copy in case the information is needed. The CDC also recommends not posting photos of the cards on social media, which increases the chance of identity theft.
