Comedian and talk show host Steve Harvey said a memo he wrote last year to staff of “The Steve Harvey Show” cautioning them from broaching him in hallways made him realize two things: he can’t write and shouldn’t try to.
Harvey, 60, compared his request — obtained and posted online in May by a Chicago media blogger — to parents asking their children for a few moments alone at the end of the workday.
Harvey, whose new daytime show, “Steve,” debuts Sept. 5, said he’s a congenial guy.
