Steve Nash Pens Emotional Open Letter About His Health to Critics

LOS ANGELES (SBNation.com)—Since joining the Lakers in 2012, Steve Nash has missed more than 100 games with a variety of back ailments and hasn’t looked right even when he has been on the court. He’s out for this season with a nerve issue.

Fans on social media recently got upset over an Instagram video he posted where he swung a golf club. In a Facebook post Friday night, Nash sadly had to defend his injury by opening up about the struggles of his bad back. Sometimes, he says in the post, he can’t even sit in the car driving home, and emphasized that “there is an incredible difference between this game and swinging a golf club, hiking, even hitting a tennis ball or playing basketball at the park.”
