“Good Morning America” anchor Michael Strahan has reportedly come under fire at his job for refusing to cut short a vacation in Greece to join ABC’s Hurricane Harvey coverage.
Strahan, a Houston native, was “somewhere on a yacht in Greece” when ABC executives asked him to return early to cover the tragedy that occurred in his hometown, but he declined, the New York Post’s Page Six reported.
Executives from the network’s news division are “really upset with him,” a source told Page Six.
A representative for Strahan said ABC executives didn’t ask him to return from his vacation, and that he is headed to Houston and will help any way that he can when he returns to the air Tuesday.
