BWR Releases Annual Report on Black Women in the U.S.

by WI Guest Author March 26, 2021December 21, 2021

The Black Women’s Roundtable on Thursday released its eighth annual report on the state of Black women in the U.S., focusing on their challenges and triumphs in the wake of a historic election season and amid a global health crisis.

The Rev. Al Sharpton leads the Commitment March to fight for criminal justice reform on August 28 with some of the families who have lost loved ones to police brutality. The march, under the rallying call "Get Your Knee Off Our Necks," coincided with the 57th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s 1963 March on Washington at the Lincoln Memorial.
