D.C. Adheres to Nationwide Public-Housing Smoking Ban

D.C. is now among the nation’s municipalities that bar public-housing residents from smoking within 25 feet of their homes.

Tawana Nicole, Washington, D.C. In D.C., smoking is not allowed in apartments, regardless if folks are paying three grand for a two-bedroom. It's not just in your apartment either, but also common areas like pools, your balcony or patio. Basically, you can only smoke in your car, but I appreciate it as a nonsmoker.
