Trump Likens Border Fight to Wall Around Obama Compound

President Donald Trump has made a comparison between the wall he wants to construct at the U.S.-Mexico border and one his predecessor Barack Obama has built around his family home in D.C.
Trump’s logic in the matter is that if the Obamas can build a wall to keep unwanted visitors at bay, Congress should extend the same courtesy when it comes to the southern border.
“President and Mrs. Obama built/has a ten foot Wall around their D.C. mansion/compound. I agree, totally necessary for their safety and security. The U.S. needs the same thing, slightly larger version!,” Trump tweeted Sunday afternoon.
The Obamas reportedly bought the 8,200-square-foot mansion in the exclusive Kalorama section of D.C. in 2017 for $8.1 million.
