Air travel is beginning to bounce back, with the U.S. recently recording its largest travel day since the outset of the coronavirus pandemic last year.

The Transportation Security Administration said it screened 1.98 million people at the nation’s airports Sunday, the most since March 7, 2020, CNN reported.

Despite the rising numbers, they still pale in comparison to pre-pandemic levels. For instance, the TSA screened 2.67 million people on June 7, 2019, CNN reported.
