The U.S. now has two million confirmed cases of the coronavirus, according to a Johns Hopkins University tracker.

In the five months since the onset of the virus in the U.S., more than 113,000 Americans have died as of Thursday afternoon.

The country is by far the worldwide leader in confirmed cases, nearly tripling the total for second-place Brazil, which has roughly 772,000 cases.

Globally, there are more than 7.4 million cases, including 413,000 deaths.
