U.S. Records Second Straight Day of 1,000-Plus COVID-19 Deaths

For the second consecutive day, the U.S. has recorded more than 1,000 deaths in the past 24 hours, with 1,195 new demises taking place on Wednesday.
CNN reported on Thursday that as of Wednesday the Johns Hopkins University tracker’s tally had 71,695 new cases of the coronavirus in the U.S.
All totaled, there have been at least 3,970,906 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the U.S. with at least 143,190 people have been killed by the virus.
The totals include cases from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and other territories, as well as repatriated cases.
