More than 230 students at the University of Virginia reportedly have been “disenrolled” due to non-compliance with the school’s coronavirus vaccine mandate.
Only 49 of the 238 students dropped from the university’s rolls had registered for the fall semester, meaning many of them likely weren’t planning to return, a U.Va. spokesperson told WTTG-TV (Channel 5).
Religious or medical exemptions are available, but none of the disenrolled students were eligible, WTTG reported.
In July, the university announced all students and staff must be fully vaccinated or submit to weekly testing.
