A jury found former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin guilty of murdering George Floyd. What are your thoughts?

Ronald Pearson, Washington, D.C.
Wow! He was actually surprised that he was held responsible. When he had his knee on George Floyd’s neck, he showed no emotion [about] what he was doing. No compassion and no soul. Enjoy your orange suit and good luck in general population.

Angela Brandon, Washington, D.C.
Living his hate was more important to him than living his freedom.

Anthony Smith, Washington, D.C.
So happy that Derek Chauvin was convicted on all counts against him for the killing of George Floyd. So happy the Floyd family received justice.

Kurt Felix, Marchand, St. Lucia
Yes, I applaud the jury, but the judge gave the defense a reason to appeal the ruling by using Auntie Maxine’s speech as an excuse. Let’s see how lenient this judge will sentence Chauvin.

Sheila Lewis, Powder Springs, Ga.
I believe he’ll be right at home on house arrest. They did that to protect him, because they knew what was going to happen if they didn’t find him guilty!
