Tiffany Haddish will portray iconic track legend Florence Griffith Joyner in a biopic, according to reports. The responses to the news have been mixed. What are your thoughts?

Delana Parker, Detroit

I think she’ll be great playing Flo-Jo. Tiffany did an excellent job in the recent movie she co-starred with Billy Crystal. My first time seeing a more serious role for her.

Ashia Stevens, Tucson, Ariz.

I spent an hour one day sharing with a group of kids about Flo-Jo and her amazing skill and abilities as an Olympic athlete. The last thing I would have EVER expected is for Tiffany to be selected to play the role! Out of all the really good actors and actresses on this planet … Tiffany.

Karenia Lange, Indianapolis

Oh Lord, is it a comedy, Jesus? If not, it’s about to be! Either way, I’m watching it!

Toni R Daniel, Washington, D.C.

I pray that she kills it. And honestly, since there are so many that are truly negative, I hope she shuts them down.

Nina Williams, Washington, D.C.

She will need to work out heavily and use a body double. She’s in her 40s portraying someone who was in their 20s. … Best of luck.
