Virginia reported Wednesday that it now has 32,908 coronavirus cases, an increase of 763 from the previous day, the state health department reported.
The state’s death toll also increased by 33, Richmond Times-Dispatch reported.
However, health department statistics also show the seven-day moving average has trended downward trend since the beginning of the month.
The statistics show the leading age group in COVID-19 cases is 40-49 with 18.6 percent, but those 80 and older account for 52.5 percent of the state’s 1,074 coronavirus-related deaths.
