Wise High Wins Maryland 4A Championship

Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School in Upper Marlboro claimed victory Dec. 7 in the Maryland 4A football championship game.

Wise defeated Northwest High School of Montgomery County 35-14 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis.

Wise captured its fourth state title in five years to end its season at 14-0. Overall, the Pumas have won five state championships in the past 14 years.
