The Women of Color in Community Development and African American Real Estate Professionals DC are co-sponsoring theโ€œWomen of Color in Real Estate Developmentโ€ event on Nov. 14 from 6-8 p.m. at National Landing in Arlington, Virginia 

Sponsored by Amazon, the event will feature a panel of women of color engaged in real estate development and economic development. 

Through this event, learn about the panelistsโ€™ careers, accomplishments, and challenges of being in what is often referred to as โ€œthe space.โ€ 

KellyAnn Kirkpatrick of Amazon Housing Partnerships & Grantsโ€”Housing Equity Fund will deliver opening remarks. The moderator of the panel will be Shelynda Burney Brown, vice president of real estate development for Enterprise Community Development. Panelists and speakers include: Marisa Gaither Flowers, chief executive officer and executive vice president of strategy for Greater Washington Partnership; Ayesha Hudson, CEO of A-Peace LLC; Carmen Romero, president  and CEO of True Ground Housing Partners; Emalia Tamanikwa, director of development EDENS; and Maria Thompson, president of Hoffman & Associates.
