World’s First Family Robot Will Be Available in 2015

(Techsonia) – A robot that functions like a butler will be available in 2015.

Jibo, the first family robot in the world, is the creation of Cynthia Breazeal, an associate professor at MIT that specializes in advanced robotics.

Breazeal describes Jibo as an “emotive robot” designed to improve the lives of the family that owns it and to become part of that family.

She explained that Jibo has the unique ability to identify each family member and adapt according to the needs and habits of each member of the household.
