The Zenith Gallery in Northwest will present its Earth Day Celebration Show from April 12-May 4.
The opening reception to meet the artists will be on April 12 from 4-8 p.m. and April 13 from 2-6 p.m. There are tentative plans to hold sessions of artists talking about their work and lives.
The featured artists are Jonathan Bessaci, Rachael Bohlander, Lea Craigie-Marshall, Luc-Alain Felder, Sofia Gawer, Margery Goldberg, Kirsty Little, Ellen Sinel, Bradley Stevens and Luther Wright.
“Our planet’s environmental crisis is not new, and every day becomes more critical,” Zenith officials said through a news release. “It will determine our future. The enormity of the crisis is daunting, but that cannot stop us from acting. To slow down and reverse the process of degradation to our planet we need to rethink the ways in which we live. While dreaming of the pristine past or hoping the future might be uplifting, it is merely passive thought. Through this exhibition we explore images that inspire action and protest.”
