(ZDNet) – The ThinkPad brand is not all about laptops as the latest addition demonstrates. The ThinkPad 10 is a Windows 8 tablet that has everything you expect from Lenovo, and then some.
Lenovo has announced the ThinkPad 10 along with a line of accessories designed to ready the slate for the mobile worker. These include a cover and a couple of keyboard options that turn the ThinkPad 10 into a full ThinkPad laptop.
At only 1.3 pounds, the ThinkPad 10 is a mobile solution that brings optional pen support to the conference table. With the latest Bay Trail technology, the tablet should be a reasonable performer while getting a claimed 10 hours of use on a battery charge.
The ThinkPad 10 is the successor of the ThinkPad Tablet 2, a tablet I found to be the best Windows tablet of its time. It’s thin and light, a requirement for providing a good user experience as a tablet. It’s the bigger sibling of the ThinkPad Tablet 8 which impressed me when I reviewed it.
