The story “Unvaccinated Marylanders Account for Nearly All COVID Hospitalizations and Deaths” by William Ford didn’t surprise me. After all, science tells us that the vaccine protects against the virus and for those that do contract it, they will still have a safer outcome than those who aren’t vaccinated. I hope that those who aren’t vaccinated take heed as these “new” strains of COVID come into play.

Removing the Stigma
I was so glad to see information on anxiety in the paper last week. Black people need to know about mental disorders that we suffer from, too, which often go undiagnosed. Sometimes just seeing things like your story can plant a seed in someone who’s been experiencing symptoms of anxiety and may prompt them to get help.
