The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland has no plans to make any changes to its Michael Jackson exhibits amid the fallout over the explosive HBO documentary “Leaving Netherland,” in which the legendary singer is accused of sexually abusing young boys.
“As with all of our inductees, Jackson was recognized for musical excellence and talent as well as having a significant impact on rock and roll, and was elected by a diverse voting body of historians, fellow musicians, and music industry professionals,” the hall said in a statement. “Original artifacts and memorabilia from many artists’ lives and performances are on display in our exhibits. There are no plans for this to change.”
Jackson, who died in 2009, was inducted into the hall both as a member of the Jackson 5 and as a solo artist. He is accused in the documentary of molesting Wade Robson and James Safechuck when they were children.
