The U.S. reported a record-high 136,325 new coronavirus cases Tuesday — the seventh straight day that the daily total has hit six figures.

The country also had 1,420 virus-related deaths, according to a Johns Hopkins University tracker.

On Nov. 4, the U.S. became the first country to top the 100,000 mark in daily coronavirus cases, a mark it has surpassed every day since. The country on Monday also hit the grim milestone of 10 million reported cases since the onset of the pandemic this spring.

As of Wednesday, the U.S. has roughly 10.3 million coronavirus cases and more than 240,000 related deaths — both tops globally — according to the Johns Hopkins tracker.
