Washington Gas will begin to update its primary SAP customer service and billing application as well as modify the system application hardware from Thursday starting at 12:01 a.m. to Tuesday at 8 a.m.

The system upgrade aligns with the company’s ongoing investment in supporting customers and aims to enhance its ability to provide a positive customer experience. During maintenance update, customers’ ability to access customer care activities such as online accounts, mobile application, online bill pay, customer center personnel and walk-in offices will be limited.

Payments made at retail bill pay partners such as 7-Eleven, Walmart and CVS will be posted to customer accounts once the system is operating normally Tuesday. Customers’ bills due on May 23 and 24 will have until May 31 to submit payment without incurring a late fee.

The emergency line, 844-WASHGAS (844-927-4427) will remain open and available to manage all emergency requests, including odor calls, during this period. This number will not be available for account service or invoice questions.
