WHUT to Hold Panel Discussion on Vernon Jordan Doc

Howard University Television (WHUT) will present a film screening and panel discussion at 6:30 p.m. Thursday of the PBS documentary “Vernon Jordan: Make It Plain.”

The event will explore Jordan’s extraordinary career beginning with his rise from the segregated South to his tenure as head of several civil rights organizations to his current position as a partner at a corporate law firm.

The highly regarded Jordan, 85, is an influential figure in the political world who served as a close adviser to President Bill Clinton. The PBS film documenting his life debuted last year.
