(Wall Street OTC) – Remaining in a good shape and losing extra flab can do wonders in keeping you healthy. Health experts and doctors also ask patients, especially those having weight problem, to adopt a healthy lifestyle, eat well and engage in high physical activity. But an independent health panel says just asking for right routine is not enough, a proper guidance is equally important.

The US Preventive Services Task Force has recommended intensive health-related behavioral counseling for obese and overweight Americans, who are at high risk of developing heart problems.

The Task Force is an independent panel that carries literature reviews of medical researches and drafts guidelines accordingly on preventive care.

The literature review highlights 74 studies on different lifestyle interventions that provided enough evidence to the fact that the intensive behavioral counseling on diet and exercise improved the health conditions after one or two years.
